Take out your phone and point the camera at what’s in front of you to take a picture. Moodshot recognizes the lighting, scene, and time of day, letting the environment choose the music for you. The photo you just took becomes a vinyl record sleeve. The record slides out and spins slowly, as an Apple Music playlist that fits this very moment begins to play.

Point the camera at a corner near you. The scene, color temperature of the light, and current time of day are processed locally to determine the atmosphere, selecting one of 18 vinyl records that matches the moment. All processing happens on-device; photos never leave your phone.

Clear small text beneath the record shows the recognized scene, shooting time, and light color temperature. Why this record plays for you is laid out plainly in front of you, far from random shuffling.

The front of the record displays only the first 3 selected tracks. Swipe up to open the inner pages to view the complete tracklist, divided into SIDE A and SIDE B. You can also swipe left or right on the sleeve to skip tracks directly.
