Most to-do apps only consider tasks as "completed" or "uncompleted". But real work is rarely so simple.
A task might be waiting for a customer's reply, blocked by a colleague, paused until tomorrow, or in progress but currently not actionable. When all these tasks pile up in a long list, it creates clutter, stress, and a mental burden.
Nyblit is different.
Nyblit started over 20 years ago as a FileMaker database shared among a small group of friends. It's based on a simple observation: at any given moment, more than half of the tasks on your list can't actually be dealt with immediately. You might be waiting for a reply, at the mercy of others, or putting something off until later.
Move these tasks out of your current view (while still safely tracking them), and your workload becomes clearer, more manageable, and easier to complete.
Nyblit uses what we call 'state-based' task management, showing you what needs attention right now while neatly organizing and hiding everything else safely.
A simple phone call might go through the following states:
• Today: It's time to make the call.
• Blocked: You've left a voicemail and are waiting for the other person to call back.
• Later: The line is busy, so Nyblit will remind you to try again in 10 minutes.
• Completed: The call has ended.
Nyblit allows you to create custom workflows so you know what type of tasks you're working on. Tap "left voicemail", and the task moves to "blocked". Tap "call later", and Nyblit provides a timer and reminder.
Workflows can represent anything you do often, from writing an email to fixing a car. Each workflow can include its own states, delays, subtasks, and estimated time.
This way, instead of staring at a cluttered and only partially actionable task list, you can see which tasks are active, what stage each task is at, which are blocked, and which are paused.

Finally, your tasks and communication are brought together. Email conversations can be directly placed in the relevant tasks.

Nyblit can automatically export a beautifully typeset daily page to your reMarkable e-ink tablet every morning. Your "Today" tasks are clearly shown with checkboxes that you can tick directly with a pen. At the end of the day, Nyblit can identify the tasks you've completed and automatically update the "Today" view.
